When I use Soba on my lids, it barely shows. The only way I can use it is as a transitional color. This is probably my least favourite eyeshadow from MAC. It is medium pigmented yellow based brown with very fine golden shimmers. I’m not sure what led me to this purchase, but I picked up the shade Soba, one that I haven’t heard to much about, but I have worn it on my lids everyday since I got it. MAC Soba Eyeshadow MAC describes Soba as gold brown with gold shimmer.
I don’t know why, but it just looks odd on me and definitely isn’t one I. Typically I love anything and everything gold, but for some reason Soba fell short for me. Soba is a neutral shade unlike any other in MAC’s collection because it is a straight gold-brown, truly a dirty gold brown shade. I blogged about my MAC palettes last week, and there I told the tales of my crazy ‘need-every-eyeshadow-they-make’ heyday, but how I have come to my senses and now actually own 7, well-thought out shades that can be used to create everything from a simple everyday neutral eye, to a more sexed-up evening look.With a lone Milani eyeshadow making up the numbers, I thought it was time to throw that out (I realised that I had owned it for 7 years – gross!), leaving a space in my palette for one more MAC eyeshadow.
